NIGHT of the JUMPs Stockholm | Recap

Last weekend was the first time the LifeProof sponsored NIGHT of the JUMPs has been hosted in Sweden and what an incredible weekend of gravity defying motocross madness it was.

The 2016 king of freestyle motocross Maikel Melero was under pressure coming up to the 4th stop of the year with every rider gunning to take his place on the podium. The intense pressure pushed Maikel to ride even harder, coming out on top yet again with a seamless run to make it 9 epic wins in a row. Can he be stopped?!

LifeProof sponsored young gun Luc Ackermann came to Stockholm with some of his biggest tricks yet written on his bar pad and threw down an impressive run but wasn’t quite able to make the podium. He is ready to shake things up in Krakow next weekend.

The LifeProof Best Whip was down to the wire but seasoned whip veteran Pat Bowden took the prize.

“It’s been a really great year for me so far in 2016, getting the opportunity to come to Europe and ride NIGHT of the JUMPs against the best in world has helped me grow so much as a rider and a person – to be able to win another LifeProof Best Whip in Stockholm is amazing. The crowd was crazy tonight and to be in the final with Fredrik Berggren in front of his home-crowd in Stockholm was just an amazing experience,” said Pat.
