Washed Out @ Night of the Jumps, Brazil

Mother nature certainly made her presence felt over the weekend in Brazil where unfortunately she stopped the 11th round of the World Championships for going ahead.

Due to severe weather conditions and the associated safety concerns, both the pre-qualifying event and main competition were called off. The weather looked menacing all week with the blackest of rain clouds hanging low over the coastal city of Caraguatatuba. The Night of the Jumps team considered the prospect of postponing the event but the volume of rain scuppered their plans altogether.

A short practice session did take place on Saturday but unfortunately the rain took hold before the local talent could show us what they are made of. Check out some of the action here…

We look ahead to the final two Night of the Jump stops where 40 championship points are up for grabs. As things stand it will be a contest between the 2013 World Champion David Rinaldo, last year’s World Champion, Maikel Melero and Rob Adelberg!

The next round takes place in Gdansk, Poland on November 21st, see you there!
