Showdown at Night of the Jumps | Gdansk

On November 21, 2015 Gdansk, Poland roared to life with a 9,000 strong crowd filling the sold-out Ergo Arena.  The FMX stunt spectacle heroed 11 top FMX athletes who put everything on the line for the 11th round of the LifeProof sponsored NIGHT of the JUMPS.

Blazing ahead of the others Maikel Melero, Remi Bizouard and Rob Adelberg blitzed the first three positions coming into the final. Brice Izzo delivered a rock-solid run making it to the final just behind European Champion, Petr Pilat.

In the LifeProof Best Whip competition, five riders competed under the Ergo Arena roof. Fans roared to their feet and shouting for James Carter who took the victory turning his 450cc machine over 90 degrees in the air.

Maikel Melero, the tiny Spainard was a cut above the rest, owning the big win as the 11th round winner.  Melero’s flawless run included a perfect Double Grab and Cali-roll giving him the full 20 championship points to reduce the overall championship lead with Rinaldo to a mere two points and postponing the World Championship decider to the last contest of the season.

The winners from Gdansk Poland means that we can look forward to the crowning of the 2015 FIM Freestyle Motocross World Champion in an epic showdown for the final round in Sofia, Bulgaria on December 12th, 2015.

The 2015 final is tightest overall World Championship Series since 2006, with only two points separating the leaders – the 2013 World Champion David Rinaldo and the 2014 reigning World Champion, Maikel Melero. Let the battle begin!
